Bob’s early years were filled with hardship. Mistakenly seen as a burden, he was kept tied up and severely underfed by his previous owner, leaving him frail and weak. When Bob was rescued and brought to ACGS at around 6 years old, he was a heartbreaking sight—his ribs protruded, and he looked like a shadow of the strong, proud Great Dane he was meant to be. Given his condition, we weren’t sure he’d survive.
But with proper care, nourishing food, and lots of love, Bob began to thrive. Today, Bob is 14 years old—an incredible age for a Great Dane—and he’s healthier and livelier than ever. He’s surrounded by friends to play with, and despite everything he’s been through, he’s incredibly affectionate and full of joy. His favorite thing? Going for long walks, where he gets to explore the world around him with a spirit that’s as strong as ever.
